Rain Stops Play

Sadly rain stopped play this weekend, and our street party was postponed.  We're having a jubilympics party in July instead. Bloody weather. So some photos evoking sunnier times to make me feel better.

Something I need to try and remember...

  1. Thanks for the comment on the book blog. Yes I saw the programmes you mention. It is so sad with the way market towns are changing especially... we have quite a lot in this part of Norfolk, and whilst the nearest is losing much of its charm, even the markets aren't as well supported apparently as they once were, there are others where there are no chain stores, just small independent stores, Holt is my favourite I have to say. Expensive, but for an annual day out armed with some spending money, it's wonderful! Sadly down to only one secondhand/antiquarian bookshop now, but supporting a small independent.

  2. Lovely sunny photos to cheer on this awful, grey and rainy day. I do hope the sun shines on your jubilympics party:)

  3. Sorry to hear your party was rained out, I know that must have been disappointing. Thankfully the rain left us for one day giving us just long enough to squeak out a bit of fun.

  4. Oh that's such a pity about the rain. Hopefully we will be having some real summer weather soon!
